The image below is from a page from one of my favorite bloggers on wellness and personal development. Giovanni really knows how to get us excited about making simple changes in our lives like incorporating a meditation practice. He breaks down each of these components in detail and adds quirky, fun ways to inspire us to begin the practice with gusto and find novel ways to keep it going as a lifelong practice.
One thing I know for certain as a therapist and simply as a human being is that gratitude is accessible at any given moment. Whenever faced with complicated situations or feeling the impact of negative emotions, tapping into gratitude is not only an exit strategy to release oneself from that negative "space," it is one pathway to greater freedom and well-being.
So, I take this opportunity to express gratitude. Gratitude for all that my family has taught me, gratitude for all of the experiences life has given me, and gratitude for being in a place where I can be of service to others.
